Conference

To mark the 50th anniversary of the Leuenberg Agreement between the reformed churches in Europe, the Reformed Theological University of Debrecen (Hungary) is holding an international academic conference from 9 to 11 March 2023.

The conference is intended to act as a highlight of the anniversary year of the Leuenberg Agreement, which led to the foundation of the Communion of Protestant Churches in Europe (CPCE).

The focus will be on the contemporary significance of the realisation of common church existence launched by the Leuenberg Agreement and the question as to how this might and must be shaped in the future.

Numerous participants are expected to work together in panel and plenary sessions, with the plenary speakers due to be announced shortly here on the website.

The working languages for this conference will be English and German.

Papers can be submitted online on this website between 1 June and 15 December 2022.
