Stephanie Dietrich is currently working as Professor of Diaconal Studies at the Faculty of Theology, Diakonia and Leadership, VID Specialized University, Oslo/Norway. 1985-1991 Theological studies in Neuendettelsau, Germany and Oslo, Norway. 1991-1998 PhD student and Assistant lecturer Systematic Theology at MF Norwegian School of Theology, Religion and Society. 1998 Dr. theol with thesis “Das schweigende Gebet. Zur fundamentaltheologischen Grundlage des Verständnisses von schweigendem Gebet in ökumenischem Blickwinckel”. 1998- 2007 Senior advisor Church of Norway, Council on Ecumenical and International Relations. Habilitation in Diaconal Studies: VID Specialized University, Oslo/Norway, 2016. Stephanie Dietrich has published books and articles within the field of ecumenical theology and diaconal studies. She has been a member of the CPCE Council and Presidium from 2006-2012, and is currently a member of the Theological Advisory Board of the CPCE. She is also member of the International Lutheran-Orthodox Dialogue Commission since 2004, and a member of the WCC Faith and Order Commission since 2015, where she currently is co-chairing the sub-group working on ecumenical ecclesiology. She has also served as the Chair of the Church of Norway Theological Commission, and been involved in numerous ecumenical dialogues and conversations, both nationally and internationally. Currently, she serves as the Chairperson of CODE: Interdisciplinary research group on Community Development at VID Specialized University, and DIGNI (Umbrella organisation for 20 Christian organisations in Norway receiving funding from NORAD, the Norwegian Agency for Development Cooperation). In addition, she is coordinating and conducting teaching, research and training between different HEIs in Africa and Norway on diaconal, asset-based community development.
